Personal Information

Rancho Cordova Soccer Club collects certain personal information from coaches, board members, parents and players in order to conduct normal operations and to guarantee the safety of our players.   We do not collect any personal information from the website itself for any purpose, nor do we publicly display any personal information on the site, with the exception of emails for the coaches or board members; this includes phone numbers, addresses or team rosters.   Emails are displayed as a convenience to the parents and players, and all publicly-displayed emails are encoded in such a way that automatic spam agents cannot detect them from the site.   If privacy is of utmost concern to a coach, we recommend that they acquire and dedicate a specific email address for use in communication with the club, and to not use that email for other purposes (i.e., personal communications, signup/login for social networking sites, etc).  In addition, to conform to each team's unique desire for privacy, we have made the team page so we are able to hide practice times/locations, team photos and/or alter coaches’ names on a per-team basis, at the head coach’s request.    Most importantly, any pages on the website displaying personal information – such as emails or locations/dates of games - are purposely designed so that they cannot be indexed by any search engine or displayed in any public search results.    We are fully compliant with the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), regarding the collection and/or display of personal information for children under the age of 13 (see http://www.coppa.org/comply.htm for more information).
